Photochemical Reduction of Methylen Blue using the Photo-Blue-Bottle Experiment
The video shows how methylene blue is electrochemically reduced to leukometylene blue in one half cell when the other half cell, filled with a photo blue bottle solution, is irradiated. The leukomethylene blue solution is then re-colored to blue by reoxidation with ambient oxygen.
