Everyday Objects under Black Light

Bank notes, credit and identity cards as well as glowing objects from craft and toy shops are observed in the UV light of an LED flashlight (λ = 365 nm).

• In part differences between the colors of the same object or part of the objects in contrast to those in daylight can be observed. After switching off the UV light, the glow disappears immediately.
